I was thinking about herping tomorrow for Timbers & Coppers specifically. It is supposed to be in the 70's. If I find a den site or a good basking spot, is it worth it to herp this early? Has anyone else seen anything this year yet?

To early, maybe in a couple weeks, depending on weather.

If you know exactly which hole the snakes emerge from, you can see them just out of their hibernaculum basking on warm days. Ive known timbers out basking on 70 degree days in january sticking out of den crevices. They will not leave the denning area though for another 3-5 weeks weather pending.
