Tommorrow I think I will take the family and go look for some fence lizards. I have 1 place that I see them on a fairly normal basis. They are pretty neat critters. I will take the camera this time and try to get some good pictures. My last couple outings have not been going as well as i would like, When I get into slumps I have a bad habit of not taking the camera because I am just runnign rampant looking for snakes, and dont want any excess baggage. Maybe I will run into somee copperheads if im lucky.

AdminI have yet to run across a Fence. There are only 1-2 historical areas in this area. I do think at one point I saw one but it was a blur.

MemberWell I just got back from my adventure. I changed my mind at the last minute because it just seemed like a nice day for rattlers. Turned out to be a pretty good. Seen some rattlers. I ran into one today that kinda that had an attitude very different than the average snake. He was only about 36 inches long but he wanted to make sure that i knew where i stood with him. Not sure why he acted like he did, no milky eyes, not injured, only thing is he was not very close to his hiding place. I figured since he was caught away from his security rock he was just very defensive and wanted to get back. Anyways I left him be. Nice day, had fun and also, I took my wife to be camera person and she was just to nervous in waist high huckelberrys and laurel, so I told her to stay put till I got back so once again no pics. Maybe later today I will go for lizards, not sure, have a ham in the cooker and depends how i feel after i eat, maybe I will just bask on the couch.
