January is for scouting too...

    Yep January is for scouting... last couple of days around southeast Pa...

    Researched and located an old springhouse in Valley Forge NHP...

    And the emanating spring...


    Most of the cover was frozen in place, I will be revisiting.

    While there, I thought I saw bigfoot...

    But it was actually George Washington.

    Saturday I decided to scout a boardline and set up new boards. This area has produced copperheads, racers, garters and milk snakes as well as spotted salamanders and a long tail.


    Each board was numbered and gps'd- The area left me salivating for spring!

    Goal for this year is to find the den.

    Only bout a month and we should start hearing crucifer...
