Anybody see many of these snakes. The only one I seen was in a creek that runs out of a resivior back by my house. I caught it to identify it and never took pictures.

Might depend on the population of cray fish. Pollution can limit the cray fish population drastically. Invasive cray fish are also a problem for native cray fish populations. These can lead to decline or a small percentage of queen snakes with in a stream area.

Queen snakes can be easy to find in some places and then others can be hard. I do thing the SE part of PA is less abundant. Most days I don't try hard at known locations and see about 5 on a good day with in a few mins. I have not checked other creeks in the area in a while. I may have to do that soon.

    Happy Hunting. :)
