can anyone give me some info on where i could spot some rattlesnakes close to lancaster county? i have never seen a live rattlesnake in the wild and would love to.

ModeratorThanks for posting. Unfortunately, posting specific locations to observe herps on a public forum is strictly taboo for several reasons.
However, I would tell you that you would definitely have to travel to Pennsylvania's ridge and valley area to the north where their habitat begins to be available.Posted 2 years ago # -

Memberyeah totally makes sense.
well i finally saw a nice timber rattler today!!! hung out with her for about an hour until she slowly slithered away under a rock. amazing!
spotted her about 20 miles north of lancaster county.

Rattler
MemberYep, rattlers to the north of you. Check out the Blue. Was checking them out the other day. Went to a new spot and my daughter and I found some. Going back tommorrow morn to check for more.

Membernot sure on how 2 post piks but i ran across 7 timbers in 1 day but sum of them were spotted by me b4. no matter i love seeing healthy populations of timbers.
