I wanted to go somewhere closeby so I targeted a local preserve where spotted sals are present... but,
it was closed for another deer hunt. So I went to another park and explored some wetlands a little further.
Found 17 two lined... but only vouchered 12
6 Redbacks
Flipped this little green frog.
Counted 8 Northern Red Salamanders but failed to get shots of the smallest larvae.
Managed to wrangle this big one.
Still had thingies.
Got one shot of one in the water...
Fortunate enough to find 3 adults too.
An older one.
A large one...
And a really vivid young adult.
I was searching the inside of a springhouse for red larvae when I spotted this peering from the water and under the wall...
It slinked backwards back underwater, into the wall. weird.
