So me and Amy decided to walk to Wal Mart tonight due to the weather being nice. The roads we walked on were Blair Mill Rd. and Rt. 611, both insanely busy roads in eastern Montgomery County. About half way to Wal-mart I spot a DOR garter in the Rd. Five yards further up a DOR Brown snake. Both were mangled....then about 15 yards further up right on the white line another DOR Brown that was only clipped...I put it in my pocket, walked around Walmart, then brought it home for pics! On the walk home we also heard peepers calling in the same area as all the DOR snakes...may have to see what lives in that .25 acre woods!

Not bad for a quick trip to walmart. I am jealous.

I work in that area and quite often see DOR brown snakes and the occasional turtle there (also unfortunately DOR). I also heard the calling peepers. I'm just trying to find a good place to park so I can check those fields without attracting too much suspicion.
